The Last 5 Minutes of Your Day, HBR Article by Peter Bregman

By EEngagement

 January 3, 2011

Peter Bregman authors, The Best Way to Use the Last Five Minutes of Your Day in HBR’s January edition of HBR.

Bregman shares a real life example of a top performer at work, but was very difficult to work with. After receiving some coaching assistance, her behavior and the way she treated colleagues began to improve.  Bregman offers some simple steps to think and reflect on what’s working and what’s not working at work.  He suggests asking yourself 3 simple questions to improve your communication, interactions with others and teamwork qualities.

1.) How did the day go? What success did I experience? What challenges did I endure?

2.) What did I learn today? About myself? About others? What do I plan to do-differently or the same? Tomorrow?

3.) Who did I interact with? Is there anyone I need to update? Thanks? Ask a question? Share feedback?
