Report: Many Customer-Service Employees ‘Highly Disengaged’

By EEngagement

The Corporate Leadership Council  just released it’s quarterly engagement trends report measuring employees’ discretionary efforts, intent to stay with their current employer and engagement levels. Results showed:

  • Only 22% of employees plan on staying in their current positions (out of 618,000 global employees).
  • Disenagement levels remain high with 21.6% of employees describing themselves as “highly disengaged”

These statics support Kelleher’s message, “Firms will have to engage their employees to keep them as we come out of the recession.  Engagement is not a program, it is a culture.”
