Loyal Employees or Extreme Branding?

By EEngagement

HR Magazine, February 2011, page 18, Dori Meinert

Anytime Fitness is serious about their brand.  Several years ago, a personal trainer decided to get Anytime’s corporate logo, a purple stick figure they call, “Running Man” tattooed on his body.  Their Chief Executive Officer, Chuck Runyon even paid for it.  Since then, hundreds of employees (and some customers) have followed suit.  In fact a tattoo artist is usually present at their monthly training and annual events.  The company pays for each tattoo.  In 2011, Runyon himself got a company tattoo explaining, “Leadership is all about walking the talk”.

“Our commitment to the brand is unparalleled..we like to do things a little differently.  Having fun is important” says Runyon.
