Human Resource Executive Online, Economical Employee Engagement, Bob Kelleher

By EEngagement

January 4, 2011: Human Resource Executive Online, Economical Employee Engagement, Bob Kelleher

Bob Kelleher, CEO of The Employee Engagement Group shared a few insights as how to best  re-engage employees after post holiday blues.

1.) Consider establishing a “Communication Promise:” A detailed communication protocol and commitement created by the organization’s leadership team to the company.

2.)   Build a learning culture, even if you have limited funds. There are relatively inexpensive ways to foster learning and development (stretch assignments, mentorships, lunch-and-learns).

3.)   Analyze your employment brand. Form a cross-section of top-performing employees together to determine why people work for your company in order to brand that internally.

4.)   Host a YouTube video contest. Send out Flip cameras to every company department and request that employees be given a chance to pick a company value and explain on-camera “what that means to me,” and award prizes for the best videos.
