Bob Kelleher, author of Louder than Words, and Founder of The Employee Engagement Group, is very clear when he reiterates:  Repeat after me: Money Does Not Motivate Employees Long-Term.  Of course there are some exceptions (sales compensated teams, employees who depend on tips), but this is not the norm.
