The B.E.S.T Profile
We often hire based on a person's education (or experience) and skills, but that person is most often promoted (or fired!) based on their behaviors and traits. For example, a hiring manager will hire an accountant based on their financial skills. However, this person will get more often get promoted not because of their math skills, but rather their ability to lead a team.
Why not hire the behaviors and traits you want to promote? The B.E2.S.T. model provides hiring managers with a guide that moves the hiring focus from education and skills to behaviors and traits. Employees with right behaviors and traits will be able to learn the job and obtain the skills needed.
