Chris Anderson began his career in journalism and publishing, and in 2001 became the curator of the TED Conference in 2002. Since then he has developed it as a platform for identifying and disseminating ideas worth spreading.
In this TED video, Anderson says the rise of web video is driving a worldwide phenomenon he termed Crowd Accelerated Innovation. Andersen explains that web videos accelerate innovation on a global basis. He backs this up with statistics-including CISCO’s estimation that within 4 years, more than 90% of web data will be video. He makes the case that this movement could be as significant as the invention of print.
In summary, video drives innovation, sharing of ideas, accelerates all areas of knowledge and talents and will have a major impact around the world.
