In your next newsletter, inform your readers that Facebook fans receive important information. Add the “f” icon to all marketing material (including business card) and include, “Find us on Facebook”.
- Take advantage of free tools: Facebook questions are a great way to generate traffic to your organization’s page. Ask questions that pertains to the masses. If the question is interesting enough, you have the potential to gain a lot of exposure.
- Gain attention with enticing contests: If you give away an interesting give-away (tech gadget, restaurant gift card), with a contest, you can promote through your Facebook page and create excitement and traffic.
- Be relevant: A welcome page that informs visitors “WIIFM” (what’s in it for them), such as relevant resources, they will share that with others.
- Cheap, effective Facebook ads:If you are targeting a niche audience, Facebook ads are an inexpensive way to drive traffic to your site/offering/event.
- Use Your Fans As Your Marketing Agents: When someone sees that someone else they trust “likes” your page or event, you can gain additional exposure.
- Create an Exclusive Air About Your Page: Use a custom tab application that allows you to gate individual parts of your page. If someone was interested enough in your brand to visit your page, don’t let them walk away. Allow all visitors — not just your fans — to learn about your company, brand, resources and offerings.
- What About People Who Do Not Click Like? It is your responsibility to make it interesting and motivate visitors to like your page.
- Keep Content Fresh: Keep your offerings fresh, relevant and up-to-date.
